Wendy Searle
Principal & Teacher

I started dancing at the age of 3 at the Mary Leonard school, at the age of 10 it became Loretta Legge school of Theatre Dance, this was when I started realising properly the only thing I wanted to do with my life, dance.

I helped Loretta pretty much straight away in most classes, I also competed and started Choreographing at the early age of 13 and this was where my passion for teaching and choreography started.

By the age of 16, I was awarded a bursary for the prestigious Laine Theatre Arts, I was there for three wonderful years.

have worked all over the world, and the UK, in numerous Shows, Pantomimes, and have been lucky enough to have toured all over the Caribbean. I have been the lead tap soloist for a touring show all over Europe called Fire of the Dance, Choreographer and Company Manager for a show with Bonnie Langford. I have Choreographed and Directed Gilbert and Paulos Circus for three years and have had the honour of Choreographing numerous shows and performed in beautiful theatres like the Royal Albert Hall.

I have been so privileged to train and work with some of the best in the business, and I am now passing my experience and training to all my students. I am a fully qualified teacher with the ISTD and have been for the past 25 years. I have taught for Linda Butler school in Reading, the Hampton Hill Theatre School in Surrey, Loretta Legge school in Maghull and the Elliot Clarke school in Liverpool, as well as being the resident Choreographer for Songtime Theatre Arts.

I was also one of the principles of Sparkle & Shine Theatre school from the years May 2011-July 2016.

My two biggest passions are the theatre and teaching and I am so lucky to do what I do. To watch the students develop in each lesson is a joy, to see their passion unfold is amazing and to have a school filled with these beautiful souls has made my dreams come true.
